Win a Sqweez citrus juicer
Enter this month’s competition for your chance to cash in on the rapidly growing market for fresh juice – the winner will receive a [pounds sterling]1,995 SQ2 commercial citrus juicer from British manufacturer Sqweez
We live in an image-conscious age, and that attitude permeates all aspects of living, embracing the food and drink we consume. The knock-on effect of this trend in the hospitality industry is plain to see, particularly in the drinks market, where customer demand for freshly squeezed fruit juices shows no signs of abating. In fact, these days, no aspirational cafA[c] worth its salt is without the right bit of juicing kit.
The evidence isn’t just anecdotal. According to market research company Mintel, the sales value in the UK juice and juice drinks market has increased by some 20% since 2004 and was worth [pounds sterling]3b in 2006.
Indications are that sales of juice and juice drinks look set to enjoy an extended period of healthy growth and, as consumers gain in their knowledge and understanding of nutritional issues, health benefit add-ons in drinks, or “functionality”, if you want the jargon – such as calorific value and omega-3 – will continue to push sales up in the future.
With this in mind, Buy It! has teamed up with UK commercial juice machine company Sqweez to offer readers the chance to win a SQ2 commercial citrus juicer worth [pounds sterling]1,995.

The British-made SQ2 machine from Sqweez has an enviable combination of functionality and style. It’s an entry-level commercial citrus juicer that allows the operator to provide customers with pure, fresh orange juice, with the whole process visible through a viewing window, giving a degree of theatre.
Measuring 85cm high x 49.5cm wide x 38cm deep and weighing in at 36kg, the machine is constructed from food-grade 316 stainless steel and finished in chip-resistant paint. Features include robust steel peel ejectors and patented bacteria-unfriendly juicing wheels that split apart for easy cleaning. It’s available in different colours and with corporate branding and comes with a comprehensive one-year parts and labour on-site warranty.
It has a juicing rate of 26 oranges per minute, that’s more than 1.5 litres, which means just over five seconds for a three-fruit drink (approximately 200ml) costing about 35p to make and carrying a recommended retail price of [pounds sterling]1.75.
